Metal Building Outlet supplied this rugged, wind-resistant prefabricated metal commercial building for a client in Panama City Beach, Florida, sending the building kit to the jobsite in August 2024.

Designed for Florida’s high humidity and the hurricane-strength winds that often come through the area, this durable, long-lasting steel commercial building offers 10,000 square feet of open interior space that can house equipment, large machinery and other business assets and inventory. The roof and walls both contain fiberglass insulation, with the roof housing 6” of R-19 fiberglass insulation with White VR-R facing and the walls containing 4” of R-13 insulation with White VR-R facing.

The insulation package helps guard against condensation, which is particularly important in a humid environment, and it also lowers the business’s energy expenses while enhancing noise control. Other noteworthy commercial building customizations include 26-gauge gutters and downspouts, which channel rainwater away from the building’s foundation while protecting its outside walls.

Doors in several sizes keep the structure easily accessible for vehicles, oversize supplies and other goods. Some of the doors also contain insulation, boosting the building’s energy efficiency even further by helping reduce the chances of heated or cooled air escaping through them.
