Metal Building Outlet secured this multi-purpose metal building for a customer in Fairplay, Colorado, in early September of 2020.

Insulated and engineered to stand strong in the Colorado mountains, the building serves multiple purposes and is 40’x40’x16’ in size. It has a clear span that frees up as much floor space as possible by eliminating interior supports, and overhead, a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume Plus roof with a 1.5:12 pitch offers a layer of protection against the elements.

Metal building customizations include (9) framed openings in a number of different sizes, among the (1) 3070 walk door opening, (2) 5’x3’ windows, (3) 6’x2’ windows, (1) 8’x8’ opening, (1) 12’x12’ opening enclosing (1) 12’x12’ door and (1) 10’x10’ opening enclosing (1) 10’x10’ door. A layer of R-19 fiberglass insulation sits within the roof, lowering the building’s lifelong energy expenses while creating a more comfortable interior environment.

Other customizations that equip the steel building for life in Fairplay’s variable, seasonally snowy climate include a 130-mph wind speed rating and a high, 70-pound snow load.
