Now used for hay storage, the steel farm building offers unmatched strength and durability, resulting in optimal protection for stored hay. Once raised, the hay storage building stands 100’x200’x20’ in size, and it features high overhead clearance, freeing up even more usable storage space.

The farm building boasts a striking, Saddle Tan exterior that blends nicely with the surrounding property, and a rugged, hardwearing roof comprised of Galvalume metal sheeting offers protection from above and a slight 1:12 pitch. Providing easy access inside are (10) framed openings in a variety of different sizes. Featured are (2) 16’x16’ openings housing (2) 16’x16’ doors, (2) 14’x14’ openings enclosing (2) 14’x14’ doors, (1) 6070 walk door opening housing (1) 6070 walk door, and (5) 3070 walk door openings, each enclosing one of (5) 3070 walk doors. The building also has (3) 3040 adjustable louvers that deliver an additional layer of protection against water damage.

The metal workshop also features several climate-related customizations that enhance overall durability with respect for the weather patterns typical of Alvarado. A 5-pound snow load is one such customization, and a 115-mph wind speed rating is another. The historic city of Alvarado is a part of Johnson County. The area lies about 60 miles southwest of Plano and about 41 miles outside Arlington.
