Metal Building Outlet was pleased to supply this pre-engineered metal shop building for a customer in Juneau, Alaska, in October of 2019.

Insulated to make it energy efficient and suitable for year-round use in Alaska, the multipurpose metal building features a wide clear span, freeing up plenty of room for work and storage, and stands 30’x60’x24’ in size. The building’s high overhead clearance further improves its versatility, and its rugged, durable Galvalume roof resists corrosion and has a 3:12 pitch.

The multifunctional steel building has (5) framed openings throughout, among them (2) 3070 walk door openings and (3) 12’x12’ openings, and in its roof and walls are layers of R-13 insulation. The insulation helps ensure a comfortable interior environment during Alaska’s long, sometimes frigidly cold winters, and it also helps lower the building’s lifetime energy expenses. A 130-mph wind speed rating and a high, 60-pound snow load further equip the steel building for life in Alaska’s capital city while keeping the structure in compliance with building codes.

Alaska’s second-most-populated city after Anchorage, Juneau is situated in the Alaska Panhandle. It lies about 12 miles outside Douglas Island and about 92 miles from Haines.
