Steel Building in Jamaica

Metal Building Outlet was the proud provider of this preconstructed steel building in Jamaica in early March of 2019.

Engineered to hold its own against strong winds, heavy rain, salt and other common Jamaica construction hazards, the building is comprised of rugged, sustainable steel components and stands 40’x80’x14’ once raised. Currently used as a shop, the metal building features a broad clear span that maximizes usable square footage and a heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch overhead.

Other notable features include (4) framed openings enhancing accessibility, among them (2) 12’x12’ openings enclosing (2) 12’x12’ overhead doors and (2) 3070 openings, each with one of (2) 3070 walk doors. A high, 160-mph wind speed rating is another customization made out of respect for the strong tropical storm activity that often comes through Jamaica during summer and fall.

An island nation in the Caribbean Sea, Jamaica is part of the Greater Antilles. It sits about 90 miles south of Cuba.
