Metal Building Outlet sent the kit for this prefabricated steel building for a shop to a client in Show Low, Arizona, in April of 2023.
The owner got a great price thanks to two discounts – one for being a contractor and one for being a member of the military – and customized the shop building to meet her needs, adding a high-performance insulation package and other upgrades.
The insulation package includes R-30 White VRR-faced fiberglass insulation in the roof and White VRR-faced R-19 insulation in the walls. The fiberglass blankets help prevent the formation of condensation, and they also boost the shop’s thermal performance, leading to lower heating and cooling expenses. A White liner panel also lines the roof, helping protect the insulation blankets while boosting the interior appeal of the steel building.
Other accommodations include (2) 5’x4’ windows that let plenty of sunlight inside and 3’ overhangs along all four sides that create covered outdoor space while beefing up protection for the shop’s exterior walls.
