Insulated Metal Shop Building in Reno, Nevada

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel building in Reno, Nevada, in late April of 2022.

Easy to maintain and erect, the insulated, climate-controlled metal building now serves as a shop and is 40’x60’x16’ once constructed. A broad clear span and high ceilings boost versatility, and overhead, the shop features a rugged, corrosion-resistant gable roof with a slight 3:12 pitch.

There are (4) framed door openings located throughout, which include (3) 10’x14’ framed door openings holding (3) 10’x14’ 26-gauge roll-coil doors with chain hoists and (1) 3070 opening enclosing (1) 3070 20-gauge insulated commercial walk door with a lever lock.

An insulation package is a key feature, with the shop’s roof holding 6” of R-19 insulation and the shop’s walls containing 4” of R-13 insulation. The insulation blankets have rugged, WMP-VRR+ facing on the interior-facing side, which helps protect them against condensation.

Additional shop customizations include gutters, downspouts, and 4’ of wainscoting with transition trim along all four walls. The metal shop building also has a 23-PSF roof snow load and a 120-mph wind speed rating in compliance with local building codes.
