Prefabricated Steel Lean-To With Insulation in Mancos, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel lean-to for the owner of a commercial and residential construction company based in Mancos, Colorado, in mid-May of 2025.
Used for commercial purposes, the insulated, climate-controlled and highly customized metal building attaches to an existing commercial building and gives the owner 960 square feet of column-free interior space ideal for storing inventory and equipment, welding or cutting materials, or otherwise supporting business operations. Attractive and versatile, the building draws the eye from the outside thanks to Light Stone walls, a Burnished Slate roof and a combination of Light Stone and Burnished Slate architectural trim.
On the inside, the steel commercial building has a powerful insulation package, with high R-value, R-38 double-layer banded insulation system lining the roof and R-19 insulation lining the walls. While the insulation keeps the interior comfortable and appropriate for use throughout the year, it also helps muffle noise and prevent condensation, among other key benefits.
A 1’ by 24’ section of the lean-to’s rear end wall remains open, making it easy to load and unload equipment and supplies when necessary. Durable, long-lasting and low maintenance, this metal lean-to expands the business’s usable space while protecting assets and employees from the elements.
