Metal Building in Greeley, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet was the supplier of this premanufactured metal building in Greeley, Colorado, in late September of 2017.

Rugged, energy efficient and comprised of sustainable, premium-quality steel materials, the structure stands 70’x60’x20’ in size, and it now operates as an aircraft hangar. Overhead, a durable, long-lasting Galvalume roof with a 2:12 pitch helps protect stored planes and helicopters against moisture-related damage and the elements.

Installed within the metal hangar’s roof and walls is R-13 insulation, which helps muffle noise and lower energy bills while keeping the building’s interior comfortable for users. There are also (7) framed openings varying in size distributed throughout the hangar, among them (1) 62’x18’6” opening for moving planes in and out, (2) 3070 openings intended for walk doors, and 4) 4030 windows.

A wind speed rating of 115 mph and a snow load of 30 pounds are additional project attributes; decisions made in consideration of the variable climate and unpredictable weather patterns commonly seen in and around Greeley. The most populated city set within northeastern Colorado’s Weld County, Greeley is part of Colorado’s Front Range Urban Corridor. It sits about 49 miles outside downtown Denver and about 54 miles outside Cheyenne, Wyoming.
