Steel Garage Building in Canon City, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet sourced this prefabricated steel garage building in Canon City, Colorado, in early March of 2022.

Now serving double-duty as a shop and garage, the attractive, Mocha Tan-colored building is 26’x26’x10’, has matching trim and is comprised of rugged, sustainable steel parts. A broad clear span creates an open, column-free interior, and a Light Stone-colored gable roof with a modest 3:12 pitch provides overhead protection.

Insulated and energy-efficient, the metal shop and garage has (2) framed door openings, which include (1) 9’x8’ door opening and (1) 6’x6’ opening. There are also 3’x10’ skylight panels distributed along the steel building’s roof, allowing natural sunlight and warmth inside.

In its roof, the steel shop and garage has a layer of R-19 insulation, while the walls contain a layer of R-13 fiberglass insulation. The blankets have White backing and heavy-duty facing applied to one side, which helps protect them against condensation and damage.

A 30-psf snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating are additional customizations made in compliance with local building and engineering code requirements.
