Steel Building in Cortez, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Cortez, Colorado in February, 2014.  This building features steel components from Nucor and is used as a shop in Montezuma County in southwestern Colorado – about 50 miles from Durango and about 20 miles from Pleasant View.

In order to allow easy access to the interior of this building, the owner selected seven doors.  Included are (2) 14’x14’, (2)12’x12’ overhead doors and  (3) 3’x7’ walk doors. This metal building is 50’x100’x16’ and the galvalume roof has a 1:12 pitch.

When planning a new metal building purchase, it is important to design the building to meet local codes and regulations and the climate of your area. This building includes an optional energy saving fiberglass insulation package which is installed on the walls and roof of this building, making it well suited for the Colorado climate. The roof and walls are insulated with a single layer of 6” fiberglass insulation (R-19).
