Metal Building in Clyde Park, Montana

Metal Building Outlet sourced this pre-engineered metal building in Clyde Park, Montana in late July of 2021.

Now undergoing use as a “barndominium,” or a building that merges a metal residence with another form of usable space, the building offers unmatched structural integrity and boasts numerous customizations throughout. After a relatively simple erection process, the metal home and shop is 80’x100’x18’ in size and features an open, clear-span design.

Its roof is comprised of rugged Galvalume steel sheeting and has a gable style. (41) framed door and window openings are additional customizations. Found throughout the steel barnodominium are (29) framed window openings, (2) 14’x14’ overhead door openings, (4) 10’x10’ overhead door openings and (6) 3’x7’ framed walk door openings.

Additional customizations include gutters and downspouts, which guard against condensation and water damage, and 4’ of wainscoting along all walls, which enhances the home and shop’s exterior appeal. Also included is a spandrel beam that will eventually serve as an attachment method for a stick-built lean-to and the roof sheeting and trim needed to create the metal lean-to.

The steel barndominium also features a roof snow load of 40 psf and a wind speed rating of 115 mph in accordance with local building codes.
