Steel Building in Cedar City, Utah

Metal Building Outlet secured this pre-engineered steel building in Cedar City, Utah in late February of 2018.

Highly energy efficient and engineered to hold its own despite Utah’s sometimes harsh, unpredictable climate, the building stands 40’x60’x16’ in size and now functions as a shop. Comprised of rugged, top-quality steel components, the workshop boasts a striking, Saddle Tan exterior, while a roof comprised of hardwearing Galvalume metal panels guards against corrosion from overhead while offering a 3:12 roof pitch.

The workshop also offers (2) 12’x12’ framed openings and supreme energy efficiency, thanks to a high-performance insulation package that includes R-30 insulation in the building’s roof and R-19 insulation in its walls. It also features several additional enhancements included with regard for the climate characteristics of Cedar City and the surrounding landscape, among them a high, 43-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating.

Set within southwestern Utah’s Iron County, Cedar City is home to Southern Utah University. The community lies about 250 miles south of Salt Lake City and about 170 miles north of Las Vegas, Nevada.
