Light stone in color and exceedingly durable by design, the building is crafted from top-of-the-line steel components and now serves as a shop. It is covered and protected from above by a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 pitch, and inside it are (2) 12’x12’ framed openings. Due to the variable climate and the sometimes-considerable snowfall experienced throughout Sauk Rapids and the surrounding region, a wind speed of 90 mph and a high snow load of 50 lbs. serve as additional project features. A part of central Minnesota’s Benton County, the city of Sauk Rapids is a part of the St. Cloud Metropolitan Statistical Area. Located along the Mississippi River, the city sits about 66 miles outside Minnetonka and three miles from St. Cloud.

Steel Agricultural Building in Canby, Minnesota

Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Canby, Minnesota in January, 2014. This building is used as an agricultural building to store large equipment and was purchased to replace a building which was lost in a fire. This metal agricultural equipment storage building is about 150 miles from both Watertown and Minneapolis.

This agricultural building is 80’x120’x20’ and features three entrances, two large overhead doors (for access by large equipment). These doors are 25’x18’ and 20’x18’. Additionally, there is a 3’x7’ walk door.

In order to accommodate the climate of Yellow Medicine County in southwest Minnesota, this building is rated for wind speeds of 90 MPH and has a high snow load rating of 50 PSF. Keeping the climate in mind the owner added high efficiency R-19 single layer of 6” insulation on the walls and under the galvalume roof (2:12 pitch).
