Now serving as a commercial parlor, the striking, low-maintenance structure is comprised of top-quality steel components. It offers a finished size of 80’x120’x16’ when fully erect, while a hardwearing Galvalume metal roof sits overhead, guarding against corrosion and the elements. Distributed throughout the parlor are (3) framed openings, and these include (1) 6070 opening enclosing (1) insulated 6070 door and (2) 3070 openings, each featuring one of (2) 3070 walk doors with canopy covers.

In consideration of Gonzales’ proximity to the coastline and the area’s penchant for sometimes violent weather and hurricane activity, a high, 130-mph wind speed rating serves as an additional parlor feature. Included are (1) 3’x3’ opening, (1) 10’x8’ opening equipped with (1) 10’x8’ insulated door with a manual chain hoist and (2) 3070 openings equipped with (2) 3070 walk doors.

The project also includes an insulation package. Installed in the shop building’s roof is R-19 metal building insulation, while R-13 insulation can be found within the walls. This considerably reduces the building’s energy expenditures while enhancing interior comfort for building users year-round. In consideration of the humid-subtropical climate of the Eunice area, the structure also features a high wind speed of 130 mph. A city with land in both Acadia and St. Landry Parishes in south-central Louisiana, Eunice sits about 59 miles outside Lake Charles and 39 miles from Lafayette.

Additional building features include (3) framed openings, among them (2) 14’x14’ roll-up coil doors and (1) heavy-duty 20-gauge steel walk door for convenient user access. To help keep the interior warm in the winter and cool in the summer, R-19 insulation is included in the roof, while R-13 insulation adorns the walls.

Cotton Valley sees considerable rainfall throughout the year and very little, if any, snowfall. With the region’s typical weather patterns in mind, the building was designed with a wind speed of 90 mph and a ground snow load of 5 lbs. at the time of construction.
