Multifunctional and engineered to last, the building stands 100’x100’x17.5’ once raised after its components arrived on the jobsite in clearly marked, easy-to-erect parcels. Offering optimal structural integrity, the metal building now functions as a shop building.

Steel Shop Building in Cunningham, Kansas

Metal Building Outlet was the proud provider of this pre-engineered steel building in Cunningham, Kansas, in June of 2019.

Energy efficient and engineered to last, the building currently functions as a shop, and once raised, it stands 50’x80’x16’. It boasts a broad, clear-span design that maximizes usable interior space and high overhead clearance, which makes it ideal for a wide range of different uses. The roof of the shop is comprised of rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal and has a 3:12 pitch, while (3) framed openings serve as additional customizations. Included are (2) 16’x14’ overhead door openings and (1) 3070 walk door opening housing (1) 3070 walk door.

A high-performance insulation package serves as another notable feature, with a layer of R-30 insulation installed in the roof of the building and a layer of R-25 insulation installed in the walls. Other customizations include a 115-mph wind load and a 15-pound snow load; inclusions made to keep the metal workshop in compliance with building code requirements.

A small community in south-central Kansas, Cunningham is a part of Kingman County. It lies about 62 miles west of Wichita and roughly 34 miles north of Medicine Lodge.

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel shop building for a customer in Garden City, Kansas, in May of 2019.

Rugged, multifunctional and highly energy efficient, the building features a wide clear-span and stands an expansive 150’x173’x16’ in size. Comprised of the strongest-available steel components, the building serves as a shop and furniture storage area, and a corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 0.25:12 roof pitch sits overhead, providing a solid layer of protection against the elements.

The steel shop has (13) framed openings throughout that enhance accessibility for building users, and these include (1) 14’x14’ opening, (6) 8’x5’ openings, (1) 15’x7’ opening and (5) 3070 walk door openings. The shop also has high R-value, R-38 insulation installed within its roof, while R-8 insulation sits within the walls. A 20-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating serve as additional customizations made in compliance with local building codes and in consideration of the climate characteristics of the area.

Part of Finney County, in western Kansas, Garden City is situated along the north side of the Arkansas River. The community sits about 192 miles from Wichita and about 255 miles southeast of Denver, Colorado.
