Metal Building in Canby, Oregon

Metal Building Outlet delivered this prefabricated steel building to a customer in Canby, Oregon, in mid-May of 2022.

Used for agricultural purposes, the highly customized metal building is a spacious 75’x125’x18’ once constructed and has ample room for farm equipment and other supplies thanks to a wide clear span and high ceilings. Ash Gray in color with complementing Charcoal Gray architectural trim, the insulated, energy-efficient metal farm building has a heavy-duty Polar White lean-to roof with a 4:12 pitch offering protection overhead.

The steel farm building has (18) framed door and window openings throughout, which include (3) 3’4”x7’2” openings housing (3) 3070 insulated commercial man doors with lever lock sets and (1) 12’x12’ steel framed door opening holding (1) 12’x12’ Amarr Series 2412 overhead sectional door with an electric opener. Also included are (1) 16’x12’ overhead door opening enclosing (1) 12’x12’ Amarr Series 2412 overhead sectional door with an electric opener, (3) 16’x16’ overhead door openings and (10) 5’x3’ windows that let natural sunlight inside.

An insulation package keeps the steel farm building’s energy bills low and its users comfortable during all four seasons. The roof of the steel building holds a 6” layer of R-19 insulation, while the walls contain 4” of R-13 insulation. The roof and wall insulation also have polypropylene facing adhered to the interior-facing side, which protects the insulation blankets from damage while helping guard against condensation.

A 25-psf snow load and a 120-mph wind speed rating are additional accommodations made in accordance with local building codes.
