Steel Building in Boise, Idaho

Metal Building Outlet supplied this striking, pre-engineered steel building in Boise, Idaho, in late November, 2016.

Energy efficient, attractive and long-lasting, the building is crafted from premium-quality steel components and now serves as a combination shop and garage. It stands 40’x50’x18’ in size and has a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 2.5:12 pitch, and it also features gutters and downspouts, which help keep moisture from pooling on the roof or potentially affecting the foundation.

Inside the shop and garage building are (5) framed openings varying in size and function, among them (2) 5’x4’ openings, (1) 3’x7’ opening and (2) 14’x16’. Installed in the building’s roof and walls is high-performance, R-19 metal building insulation, which helps keep interior temperatures consistent given Boise’s variable climate while reducing energy bills for the building at the same time. A wind speed rating of 115 mph and a snow load of 25 lbs. are also included to enhance overall durability given the distinct seasonal differences and sometimes-considerable snowfall seen in and around Boise.

The capital of Idaho, Boise is also its most populated city and is a part of Ada County, in the southwestern part of the state. Located along the Boise River, the city of Boise sits about 78 miles outside Cascade and 21 miles from Nampa.
