Steel Building in Big Timber, Montana

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building in Big Timber, Montana, in late March of 2015.

Boasting light stone-colored paint and a complementing green roof, the building stands 50’x100’x16’ in size and is now used as a shop. Crafted from high-end, highly durable components from Garco Building Systems, the shop building has a 2:12 roof pitch as well as a total of (5) framed openings. These include (1) 4’x3’ opening, (1) 3’x7’ opening and (3) 12’x14’ openings to complete the package.

The building is engineered with a high wind speed of 115 mph and a ground snow load of 37 lbs. This was done in consideration of Big Timber and the surrounding region’s variable temperatures and weather patterns.

A small city located within southern Montana’s Sweet Grass County, Big Timber sits about 81 miles outside the state’s largest city, Billings, and about 35 miles outside Livingston.
