Metal Workshop Building in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet was the proud supplier of this prefabricated metal workshop building in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in early August of 2019.

Designed with optimal energy efficiency in mind, the insulated steel building stands 60’x60’x16’ in size and currently undergoes use as a shop. It features a broad clear span, making use of every available interior square foot, and high overhead clearance, which can accommodate automotive lifts or similar needs.

The steel workshop boasts (6) framed openings throughout, which include (4) 12’x14’ openings and (2) 3070 walk door openings, and it also features R-38 fiberglass insulation in its roof and R-25 insulation in its walls. The high R-value insulation package keeps energy expenses low, and it also makes for a more comfortable work environment.

Other customizations made during engineering include a 43-pound snow load and a 130-mph wind load; inclusions added out of respect for the climate and building code requirements of the Colorado Springs area. Colorado’s largest city in terms of area, Colorado Springs is part of central Colorado’s El Paso County. It sits about 63 miles outside Denver and about 6.5 miles outside Manitou Springs.
