Metal Building in Grand Island, Nebraska

Metal Building Outlet supplied this used metal building in Grand Island, Nebraska. Many of our customers are able to find exceptional deals on our used building classifieds site and this building is one them. Originally in Denver this steel building was shipped to Grand Island about 100 miles from Lincoln and 150 miles from North Platte. The prefabricated metal building components were loaded onto three trucks and taken to their new home to become a recycling center in Grand County, Nebraska.

The used building specs did not meet the building codes for the area because the snow load was to light. An engineer approval was required. The snow load is 28.6 PSF and the wind load for this steel recycling center is 90 MPH. This used metal building came with an insulation package by Prodex for the roof and walls, making the building energy efficient. It also came with one 3’x7’ walkdoor. Additional doors were ordered and installed in Nebraska when the metal building was erected. These included two 14’x16’ overhead doors and four 20’x16’ overhead doors. The completed building is 100’x200’x18’ with galvalume walls and a galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch.
