Metal Building in Velma, Oklahoma

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building for a customer in Velma, Oklahoma, in January of 2015.

Crafted from premium building components from Nucor Building Systems, the steel structure is now used as a shop area by the owner, and stands 50’x100’x16’ in size. It’s covered with a durable, corrosion-resistant galvalume roof with a 1:12 roof pitch, and features (3) framed openings: (2) 14’x14’ openings and (1) 3070 walk door for convenient user access.

In consideration of the typical climate of the Velma area and rare, but occasional tornado activity seen in the region, the shop building is engineered with a high wind speed of 115 mph as well as a snow load of 7 lbs. A small town in south-central Oklahoma’s Stephens County, Velma is a hotbed for calf ropers and rodeo activity. The town sits about 74 miles from Norman and 90 miles outside Oklahoma City.
