Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel workshop building for a buyer in Winnabow, North Carolina, in April of 2019.

Now undergoing use as a shop, the building boasts supreme versatility and functionality, and once erect, it stands an expansive 80’x100’x20’ in size. Comprised of heavy-duty steel components, the shop’s wide, clear-span design eliminates unnecessary interior obstructions, freeing up more usable space, while its rugged, hardwearing Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 pitch protects its interior from above.

The steel workshop features (1) 3’4”x7’2” framed opening and several other customizations added in consideration of the area’s typical climate patterns and in compliance with local building codes. These accommodations include a high, 130-mph wind speed rating and a 10-pound snow load.

A part of southern North Carolina’s Brunswick County, Winnabow is largely an agricultural community. The area sits about 15 miles outside Wilmington and roughly 20 miles from Myrtle Grove.

Metal Workshop in Ocala, Florida

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated workshop building on behalf of a customer in Ocala, Florida, in early April of 2019.

Expansive, versatile and exceedingly durable, the building now functions as a workshop, and it stands 100’x100’x18’ in size. Its wide clear-span and high clearance make it an ideal environment for working or storing goods or inventory, while a Galvalume roof with a 3:12 pitch provides ample protection from the Florida elements from above.

The shop itself is comprised of rugged, premium-quality steel components, and distributed throughout it are (10) framed openings. Included are (5) 3070 walk door openings enclosing (5 3070 walk doors and (5) 14’x14’ overhead openings, each housing one of (5) 14’x14’ overhead doors. A high, 140-mph wind speed rating serves as an additional feature added in consideration of the tropical storm activity common throughout the region as well as the building code requirements in place at the address.

Situated within north-central Florida, the city of Ocala falls within Marion County. The community lies about 55 miles southwest of Palatka and roughly 38 miles south of Gainesville.
