Metal Building Outlet supplied these (3) prefabricated steel buildings in Athol, Idaho, in mid-September of 2017.

Together, the (3) buildings create a combination house-and-shop, and they all boast striking, light stone-colored exteriors along with complementing, desert sand-colored metal roofs. The (3) structures differ in size, however, with the first standing 40’x80’x15’, the second, 20’x80’x13’ and the third, 24’x20’x13’. Furthermore, the first building’s roof boasts a 4:12 roof pitch, while the second and third buildings’ roofs have 2:12 pitches.

Distributed among the (3) pre-engineered metal buildings are (10) framed openings varying in size, including (1) 16’x14’ opening, (2) 12’x12’ openings, (2) 6070 openings, (2) 8’x5’ openings, (2) 8’x4’ openings, and, finally, (1) 6’x5’ framed opening. Other accommodations include a 115-mph wind speed rating and a high, 73-pound snow load; features added with respect for the weather and climate characteristics of the Athol area, which is prone to higher-than-average seasonal snowfall.

A sparsely populated city set within northern Idaho’s Kootenai County, Athol is part of the Coeur d’Alene Metropolitan Statistical Area. It sits about 21 miles from Coeur d’Alene and roughly 8.5 miles from Spirit Lake.

Built to last the long haul and insulated to maximize energy efficiency, the building boasts a bold, rustic red exterior and now serves as a shop. Overhead lies a rugged, burnished slate-colored metal roof with a 3:12 pitch, and the building itself is comprised of top-quality steel components and stands 40’x80’x16’ in size.

To ensure year-round comfort for building users, the shop also boasts an insulation package. In its roof, it has high-performance, R-19 insulation, while R-13 insulation sits within its walls. The insulation also helps muffle noise while keeping energy bills manageable for building owners. Additional attributes include (10) framed openings varying in size, among them (1) 12’x14’ opening, (1) 10’x10’ opening, (2) 3070 openings and (6) 4040 windows that let natural sunlight inside.

A snow load of 40 pounds and a wind speed rating of 115 mph serve as additional features added with respect for the distinct seasonal differences and precipitation patterns common in and around the Firth area. The highly durable, energy efficient metal building stands 45’x35’x12’ in size and is crafted from top-of-the-line steel components. It is now used as a shop, and its roof is made of hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal and has a 4:12 roof pitch. Inside the metal shop building are (5) framed openings, among them (3) 10’x10’openings housing (3) 10’x10’ steel-backed insulated sectional overhead doors and (2) 3’x7’ openings enclosing (2) 3’x7’ steel insulated walk doors designed for convenient user access.

To dramatically reduce the building’s energy bills while enhancing interior comfort year-round, R-19 metal building insulation can be found in the structure’s roof and walls. A wind speed of 115 mph and a high snow load of 60 lbs. serve as additional building features and were included in consideration of the climate and weather patterns of the Soda Springs area, which sees ample seasonal snowfall. A city set within southeastern Idaho’s Caribou County, Soda Springs is situated about 33 miles outside McCammon and about 30 miles from Montpelier, Idaho.

Both low maintenance and exceedingly durable, the Hawaii metal building features eye-catching light stone-colored paint and a matching roof with a 1:12 roof pitch. Now used as a shop by the owner, the Garco-brand building stands 30’x50’x14’, and features (3) framed openings. These include (2) 12’x12’ roll-coil doors and (1) 3’x7’ commercial-grade walk door.

Kailua-Kona enjoys a tropical semi-arid climate characterized by hot, humid summers and little precipitation, and with this in mind, the pre-engineered metal building was constructed with a wind speed of 105 mph to ensure maximum durability.
