Metal Building in Buena Vista, New Mexico

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in Buena Vista, New Mexico, in mid-November of 2019.

Purchased by a ranch owner to use for hay storage, the building stands 40’x175’x19.5’ in size and is comprised of premium-quality steel components. The metal building’s height makes it well-suited for storing large amounts of hay, while its durable, water-tight construction helps protect hay from moisture, pests and other sources of potential damage.

Protecting the hay stored inside from above is a hardwearing Galvalume steel roof with a slight 1:12 pitch. The hay storage building also boasts several customizations added out of respect for the climate patterns typical in Buena Vista as well as the building code requirements in place at the ranch address, including a 115-mph wind speed rating and a 30-pound snow load.

Located in north-central New Mexico, the unincorporated community of Buena Vista is a part of Mora County. The community lies about 54 miles southeast of Taos and about 90 miles, by car, from Santa Fe.

Commercial Shop Building in Raton, New Mexico

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel building for a customer in Raton, New Mexico, in May of 2019.

Currently functioning as a shop on the grounds of the Raton Country Club, a full-service golf club with a wide array of amenities, the hardwearing, highly energy efficient metal building features premium-quality steel construction and stands 40’x60’x12’ in size. Its broad clear-span maximizes usable interior space, while a robust, corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch sits overhead, offering a 1:12 pitch.

Within its roof, the steel shop contains R-30 fiberglass insulation, while R-13 insulation sits within its walls. The country club’s metal shop also features (8) framed openings that enhance accessibility for building users, among them (4) 6’x6’10” openings, (1) 3070 opening enclosing (1) 3070 walk door, (1) 10’x10’ opening enclosing (1) 10’x10’ walk door and (2) 3040 window openings.

In compliance with local building codes and in consideration of the climate patterns typical of Raton and the surrounding region, a 30-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating serve as additional features. Situated just south of the Colorado/New Mexico border, the city of Raton is a part of northeastern New Mexico’s Colfax County. The city lies about 96 miles northeast of Taos and about 173 miles from Santa Fe.
