Pre-engineered Steel Building in Macedonia, Iowa
Metal Building Outlet supplied the base-building frame package for this pre-engineered steel building in Macedonia, Iowa, in early July of 2015.
Now used as a shop area by the building owner, the durable, highly functional metal building is crafted from premium-grade components from Nucor Building Systems and stands 60’x60’x14’ in size. Set atop of the steel building is a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 roof pitch.
In consideration of the typical climate and weather patterns characteristic of Macedonia, a wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 25 lbs. were included in the building at the time of construction. Iowa engineer-stamped drawings and Iowa engineer-stamped anchor bolt plans were also supplied by Metal Building Outlet as part of this project.
A small, historic city in western Iowa’s Pottawattamie County, the city of Macedonia sits about 28 miles outside the industrial city of Council Bluffs and about 116 miles from the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines.

Metal Building Outlet supplied this rugged, pre-engineered metal building for a customer in Lorimor, Iowa, in early February of 2016.
Crafted from long-lasting, premium-quality metal components, the building now serves as a shop for its owner. It stands 50’x90’x15’ when fully erect, and it is covered and protected overhead by a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 2:12 roof pitch. The building boasts (1) large 25’x15’ framed opening, and it also features a wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 35 lbs. These inclusions were made in consideration of the typical weather and climate patterns of the Lorimor area.
A small city located within south-central Iowa’s Union County, Lorimor is situated about 52 miles from the Iowa state capital of Des Moines and about 88 miles outside Ames.

Rugged, long-lasting and low maintenance, the building boasts a finished size of 60’x80’x16’. Crafted from premium-grade steel components and now used for storage purposes, it is covered and protected from the elements by a corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 pitch. Inside the metal storage building are (2) framed openings; (1) 3070 opening and (1) 14’x14’ opening.
Several additional accommodations were made in consideration of the variable climate and seasonal snowfall common throughout the region. A wind speed rating of 115 mph serves as an additional project feature, as does a snow load of 25 lbs. A small city set within central Iowa’s Dallas County, Bouton is a part of the Des Moines – West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area. It lies about 37 miles outside Ames and about 7 miles from Perry.

Now used as a shop, the building is crafted of components from Nucor Building Systems. It stands 70’x100’x18’ and is covered by a corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 1:12 roof pitch. The shop boasts (14) doors and windows in total, including (2) 3070 walk doors, (2) 20’x16’ openings and (10) additional 3030 windows. To ensure strength and protection from Iowa’s elements year-round, the building was constructed with a wind speed of 115 mph and a ground snow load of 25 lbs.
Charlotte is a part of eastern Iowa’s Clinton County, near the Illinois border. It sits about 79 miles outside Cedar Rapids and 48 miles from Dubuque.
