Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building in Black Hawk, Colorado, in April of 2015.

Now used as a storage facility by RN Civil, in Englewood, Colorado-based water, wastewater and heavy civil construction project specialist, the metal building stands 40’x62’15’ in size and is covered with a Galvalume roof with a 1.5:12 roof pitch.

The durable, low-maintenance steel building is crafted from rugged Nucor Building Systems components. To ensure maximum durability and protection from the Colorado elements and heavy snowfall commonly seen in the Black Hawk area, a high wind speed of 130 mph and a strong ground snow load of 90 lbs. were included at the time of construction.

The least populous town in Colorado, Black Hawk is a historic mining settlement now widely known for its casinos and restored “old west” atmosphere. The city sits about 20 miles from Golden and about 13 miles outside Idaho Springs.

Two Roof-only Metal Buildings in Golden, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet supplied these (2) roof-only buildings and (2) cupolas in Golden, Colorado, in late March of 2015.

Both roof-only buildings are used as covers at Golden’s Mother Cabrini Shrine to provide shade and protection in inclement weather to guests of the venue’s many wedding receptions, bazaars, picnics and other special events. They stand 24’x30’x10 and feature Galvalume roofs with 4:12 roof pitches. Constructed using components from Nucor Building Systems, the metal covers also feature (2) striking 24”x24”x36” wind-rated cupolas.

In consideration of Golden and the Foothills’ abundant seasonal snowfall and occasional strong storm activity, a high wind speed of 130 mph and a heavy ground snow load of 59 lbs. were included at the time of construction.

Golden, Colorado, is well-known for being the home of the Coors Brewing Company, and is a part of Jefferson County, in the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It lies about 38 miles outside Parker and 20 miles from Englewood.

Now used as a shop by the owners, the steel structure is crafted from premium Nucor Building Systems components and boasts a durable metal roof with a 4:12 roof pitch. Among its features are (3) framed openings; (1) 10’x14’ opening, (1) 12’x8’ opening and (1) 3070 walk door.

Nederland experiences a highly variable climate characterized by long, sometimes bitterly cold winters and substantial snowfall. With the region’s typical climate and weather patterns in consideration, the steel building was built with a ground snow load of 50 lbs. and a high wind speed of 135 mph.

Situated in the mountains of southwest Boulder County, Nederland sits about 17 miles from Boulder and 30 miles outside Golden.
