Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building for a customer in Summerville, South Carolina, in late December of 2019.

Durable, energy efficient and damage resistant, the multipurpose metal cover offers a safe place to store RVs or other oversize items, and it has layers of R-19 insulation in the roof and walls, which allow it to maintain consistent temperatures and a comfortable interior. Comprised of sustainable, reliable steel components, the metal cover is 30’x100’x18’ once erect, offering high overhead clearance that makes it suitable for housing goods in a wide variety of sizes.

Enhancing accessibility are (7) framed openings, which include (1) 12’x14’ overhead door opening, (5) 10’x10’ openings and (1) 3070 opening enclosing (1) 3070 walk door. Other notable features added in consideration of the climate characteristics and building codes in place in Summerville include a 5-pound snow load and a 140-mph wind speed rating.

The roof of the steel building has a 1:12 pitch and is comprised of rugged Galvalume metal panels, and it has a corrosion-resistant nature that helps prevent mold growth and other moisture-related damage. The shop counts (4) framed openings among its customizations, which include (3) 3070 walk door openings enclosing (3) 3070 walk doors and (1) 12’x14’ opening enclosing (1) 12’x14’ overhead door. The property also features (5) 12’x10’ roof vents, which help facilitate proper ventilation throughout the space.

Additional customizations made in consideration of the climate characteristics of Hanover, as well as any building codes in place at the address, include a 25-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating.
