Metal Building Outlet was pleased to supply this prefabricated metal shop building in Lewis, Iowa, in October of 2019.

Functioning as a shop, the metal building features top-quality steel construction, resulting in unsurpassed structural integrity. Once raised, it stands 40’x60’x16’ in size, boasting high overhead clearance and a clear-span design that clears up as much floor space as possible by eliminating unnecessary obstructions.

Ash Gray in color, the shop offers considerable curb appeal, while a robust and corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 2:12 pitch provides reliable protection from above. Making the shop accessible and sunny for users are (4) framed openings, among them (1) 14’x14’ opening, (1) 3070 walk door opening and (2) 3030 window openings.

A high-performance insulation package is also among the shop’s notable features. In its roof, it has a layer of high R-value, R-35 insulation, while a layer of R-25 fiberglass insulation sits within the walls. In addition to helping improve sound control, the insulation allows for a more comfortable interior environment while helping keep energy bills low.

To maintain compliance with building codes governing construction in Lewis, a 25-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating are additional shop features. Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel shop building for a customer in Sterling, Colorado, in April of 2019.

Offering optimal durability, the building stands an expansive 60’x300’x20’ in size and is currently in use as a shop. Comprised of heavy-duty steel components, it offers the strength and ruggedness Colorado construction demands, standing strong in the face of heavy snow, freezing temperatures and other potential building hazards common to the area.

Overhead, a Galvalume roof with a 2:12 pitch provides solid protection from the elements, and (14) framed openings make the metal shop easily accessible for users. These include (3) 12’x12’ openings, (9) 3070 walk door openings and (3) 16’x16’ openings. A 30-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating serve as additional customizations added with regard for the climate of the area as well as the building code requirements governing construction at the address.
