Steel Building in St. Joe, Indiana

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in St. Joe, Indiana, in mid-August of 2016.

Highly energy efficient and low maintenance by design, the building stands 64’x134’x14’ in size and is now used for storage purposes. Crafted from premium-grade steel components, the storage building is covered overhead by a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 1:12 roof pitch. Inside it are (6) framed openings varying in size, among them (4) 12’x12’ openings, (1) 18’x12’ opening and (1) 8’x8’ opening.

Installed in the walls and roof of the building is high-performance R-19 insulation, an addition that was made to reduce energy bills while also enhancing interior comfort and noise control. A wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 20 lbs. serve as additional project features and were included in consideration of the variable climate of the St. Joe area. A small town set within DeKalb County’s Concord Township in Northeastern Indiana, St. Joe sits about 24 miles from Fort Wayne and 14 miles outside Waterloo.
