Metal Shop Building in Grand Junction, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet sourced this prefabricated metal building kit for a customer in Grand Junction, Colorado, in October of 2019.

Engineered to hold its own against moisture, strong winds, pests and other potential construction hazards, the building is comprised of heavy-duty steel components, and a local general contracting company currently uses it as a shop. When raised, the steel shop boasts a finished size of 31’x26’x14.3’, and it features high overhead clearance that allows for the storage of oversize equipment and machinery.

The roof of the building is comprised of rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal panels and has a 6:12 pitch, and the shop also boasts several supplemental accommodations made with regard for the climate characteristics of Grand Junction as well as the building codes in place at the jobsite. Such accommodations include a 165-mph wind speed rating and a high, 60-pound snow load.

The most populated city in west-central Colorado’s Mesa County, Grand Junction is situated along the Colorado River. The community lies about 40 miles from Delta, Colorado, and about 245 miles from Denver.
