Steel Building in Meriden, Connecticut

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel building in Meriden, Connecticut, in early March of 2015.

Now a shop for Automotive Core Recycling, one of the largest automotive core buyers in New England, the metal building boasts bold, sagebrush tan paint and stands 75’x15’x25’ in size. It is crafted from components from Nucor Building Systems and covered and protected by a rugged Galvalume roof with a 1.5:12 roof pitch. The metal building features (9) framed openings of varying sizes; among them (2) 14’x16’ overhead doors, (2) 3070 heavy-duty 20-gauge steel walk doors and (5) windows.

In consideration of the variable, four-season climate patterns of Meriden and the surrounding areas, the shop was designed with a wind speed of 100 mph and a ground snow load of 30 lbs.

Meriden is a part of southern Connecticut’s New Haven County. It sits about 16 miles outside Waterbury and 15 miles from North Haven.
