Metal Building Outlet supplied this top quality steel building to a customer in Onaway, Michigan, in early May of 2014. It now operates as a shop.

Made of Nucor Building Systems components, the pre-fabricated metal building stands 40’x60’x16’, and has a Galvalume roof with a 2:12 roof pitch. It also features (3) framed openings, including (2) 14’x14’ overhead doors and (1) additional 3070 walk door.

With the climate of Onaway in mind, the building was designed with a wind speed of 90 mph. To keep inhabitants comfortable during Michigan’s often harsh winter weather, the building was constructed with R-30 insulation in the roof and R-19 insulation in the walls.

Onaway, Michigan is a sparsely inhabited city in Presque Isle County, in the northern part of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Considered the “Sturgeon Capital of Michigan,” Onaway lies about 31 miles from Cheboygan, Michigan, and about 109 miles outside of Traverse City.

Attractive, energy efficient and highly functional, the building is crafted from premium-grade steel components and now serves as a shop. Polar white in color, it stands 40’x50’x16’ in size and is covered overhead by a complementing black metal roof with a 3:12 pitch. Inside the metal shop building are (2) framed openings; (1) 10’x10’ opening and (1) 3070 opening.

To reduce energy expenditures given the variable climate and sometimes extreme temperature changes that are common throughout much of Maine, this building is equipped with high-performance R-30 insulation in the roof and R-19 insulation in its walls. A wind speed of 20 mph and a high snow load of 70 lbs. serve as additional features and were included in consideration of the climate patterns typical of the area. Now functioning as a shop, the durable, low-maintenance metal building stands 40’x50’x16’ in size when fully erect. Now functioning as a shop, the durable, low-maintenance metal building is designed with supreme energy efficiency in mind. Crafted from rugged, hardwearing steel components, the building stands 50’x100’x16’ and is covered overhead and protected by a corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 4:12 roof pitch. Inside it are (3) framed openings, which include (2) 24’x17’ openings and (1) that houses a 3070 walk door for user access.

Installed in the roof of the building is high-performance, high R-value R-35 building insulation, and installed within the walls is R-19 insulation. In addition to keeping interior temperatures consistent despite Minnesota’s long, sometimes bitterly cold winters, the insulation considerably reduces energy costs while enhancing noise control at the same time. In addition to the insulation package, this building is designed for maximum durability with respect to the typical climate of the area. As such, it boasts a wind speed of 115 mph and a high snow load of 60 lbs. In addition to this metal shop building, the customer purchased components for (2) additional 20’x100’ lean-to structures.

Metal Building in Arundel, Maine

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building for a buyer in Arundel, Maine, in early February of 2016.

Boasting bright white paint, the building stands 60’x220’x14’ and is now used as a shop by Motorland America, a classic car storage facility. Crafted from rugged, hardwearing metal components and covered above by a corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 3:12 pitch, the low-maintenance building is designed with energy efficiency in mind. Installed in the roof is R-19 insulation, which considerably reduces energy costs while enhancing comfort inside for building users.

Additional building features include (6) framed openings, (2) of which are 14’x10’ and (2) of which contain 3070 walk doors, a wind speed of 96 miles per hour and a snow load of 60 lbs. The latter two inclusions were made with respect to the climate in the area. A small town located within Maine’s York County, Arundel is located about 23 miles from Portland and 5.8 miles from Biddeford.

Steel Building in Chelsea, Michigan

Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Chelsea, Michigan.  This building is about an hour from both Lansing and Detroit in Washtenaw County in southeastern Michigan.  Used as a riding arena, since December, 2011, this Nucor building showcases the versatility and affordability of metal equestrian arenas.

With a generous size of 80’x180’x18’, this arena is spacious enough to meet the needs of the owners.  The roof features a 6:12 pitch and has a snow load capacity of 17.5 PSF. The arena is rated for wind loads up to 90 MPH, making it sturdy for the climate of southern Michigan.

There are several doors and framed openings on this building.  Of these, there are eight overhead doors (2 – 12’x12’ and 6 – 16’x12’), a 3’x7’ walk door, and 12 – 16’x4’.  Giving the interior of the arena natural light are 6 – 4’x5’ windows.

Steel Building in Convent, Louisiana

This steel warehouse was supplied by Metal Building Outlet in Convent, Louisiana.  The Nucor steel building had dimensions of 50’x120’x16’ and a roof pitch of 1:12.  In addition, this steel building was rated to withstand a wind load of 120mph due to high winds associated with tropical storms in that specific region of Louisiana.

Convent is located approximately 57 miles from New Orleans, LA and 39 miles from Thibodaux, LA.  The roof only structure was a cost-effective option for storing farm equipment.
