Rugged, hardwearing and highly energy efficient, the building stands strong in the face of heavy snowfall, extreme temperatures and other environmental hazards associated with life in Minnesota. Comprised of premium-quality steel components, it stands 50’x100’x18’ in size, while its Ash Gray exterior offers considerable curb appeal.
The building now functions as a shop, and it features an open, clear-span design suitable for working and storing goods. Overhead, a corrosion-resistant roof comprised of Galvalume metal panels guards against the Minnesota elements and offers a 2:12 pitch, and (19) framed openings serve as additional features. It stands 45’x70’x16’ in size, and has (2) framed openings to ensure easy accessibility. These include (1) 12’x14’ insulated overhead sectional garage door and (1) 3070 walk door.
To keep heating and cooling costs low and interior temperatures comfortable and consistent year-round, the building was constructed with high-performing R-13 insulation in both the roof and walls. Liberal and its surrounding areas experience considerable temperature variation throughout the year and light annual snowfall in the wintertime, and with this in mind, a wind speed of 115 mph and a ground snow load of 15 lbs. were factored in during construction.
