Metal Shop in Kodak, Tennessee

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal shop building for a customer in Kodak, Tennessee, in May of 2019.

Attractive, multifunctional and easy to maintain, the building now undergoes use as a shop. Comprised of high-end, heavy-duty steel components, it stands 40’x80’x12’ in size upon erection and offers a wide clear span that frees up more usable square footage inside. Charcoal Grey in color, the building has a rugged, hardwearing Galvalume metal roof with a 3:12 pitch overhead, and (4) framed openings serve as supplemental customizations. Included are (2) 12’x10’ openings, (1) 12’x12’ opening and (1) 3070 walk door opening.

A 10-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating are additional shop features added in compliance with local building code requirements and in consideration of the Kodak area’s typical weather conditions. Part of Sevier County, in east-central Tennessee, Kodak sits about 22 miles east of Knoxville and about 10 miles outside Wooddale, Tennessee.

Metal Building in Maryville, Tennessee

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in Maryville, Tennessee, in late January of 2015.

Now used as a shop by the owner, the exceedingly durable, low-maintenance building is 40’x60’x14’ in size. Overhead is a hard-wearing galvalume roof with a 4:12 pitch, and inside are (6) framed openings of various sizes. Included in the building project are (1) 10’x10’ framed opening, (1) 3070 walk door for convenient user access and (4) skylights to maximize natural sunlight inside.

To enhance energy efficiency and better ensure comfortable interior temperatures year-round, R-10 insulation is included in the building’s roof.

Maryville and the surrounding region experience a generally comfortable climate characterized by pleasant, mild temperatures and minimal annual snowfall. With this in mind, the metal shop building is engineered with a wind speed of 90 mph and a snow load of 10 lbs.

Part of the Knoxville Metropolitan Area, the City of Maryville is a part of east-central Tennessee’s Blount County. The city sits about 110 miles outside Chattanooga and 18 miles from Knoxville.
