Prefabricated Cold-Formed Steel Agricultural Building in Port Townsend, WA
Metal Building Outlet sent the pre-engineered metal building kit for this cold-formed steel agricultural building to a client in Port Townsend, Washington, in July 2025.
Boasting 960 square feet of column-free interior space ideal for housing livestock, growing crops indoors or storing hay, machinery or farm equipment, this versatile, multipurpose metal building provides year-round protection for everything inside. Engineered for the climate characteristics of the area, the metal farm building features quality steel construction that holds its own against moisture far better than wood or other building types, making it well-suited for life in the Pacific Northwest.
On the outside, the prefabricated agricultural building sports Black paint and a Charcoal roof and trim, with gutters and downspouts channeling rainwater away from the roof and foundation and 18” overhangs creating covered space outside while protecting the outside walls. Constructed using cold-formed steel parts, the building was also easier and faster to assemble than most traditional steel buildings due to its lighter framing, saving the owner substantial money on construction costs.
