Metal Building in Anchor Point, Alaska

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building for a customer in Anchor Point, Alaska in early November of 2014.

Fox gray in color, the metal building is constructed from Nucor Building Systems components, and boasts a finished size of 80’x100’x22’. Covered by a Galvalume roof with a 1.5:12 roof pitch, the building is now used as a shop by the owner.

It features (11) framed openings, which include (6) 3’x7’ commercial-grade doors and an additional (5) 18’x18’ openings. The building was also designed with the variable climate and considerable snowfall of Anchor Point in mind, and as such, has a high wind speed of 120 mph and a snow load of 70 lbs., and was designed to adhere to seismic soil interaction design codes Ss1.305 and S1.493.

A census-designated place, Anchor Point is located within Kenai Peninsula Borough in southern Alaska. It sits about 66 miles outside Kenai and 15 miles from Homer.
